The Sany Group MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) project kick-off meeting was held online on April 8, 2020.
The project is regarded as an upgraded version of the traditional MES (Manufacturing Execution System). It will be jointly developed by Sany Group and Dassault Systèmes and will become the unified management platform for the future "Lighthouse Factory".
Xiaogang Yi, Executive President of Sany Group, introduced that the upper layer of the system is connected to PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and WMS (Warehouse Management System), and the lower layer is connected to the IoT platform, which is the“brain”of the smart factory.
Ying Zhang, Dassault Systemes’Managing Director of Greater China, said that Dassault Systèmes is looking forward to cooperating with SANY. Dassault will concentrate its effort and resources to speed up the implementation of the project, and facilitate the development of SANY’s smart manufacturing.
The new MOM system is planned to be launched in the middle of the year and will be piloted in the five "lighthouse factories" along with the new heavy truck factories.
It is reported that after the project is completed, SANY’s production capacity will be increased by 50%, required manpower will be cut by 60%, and the plant space can be saved by 30%.
